Historique :	Ce fourgon DP 27001 fait partie de la série des fourgons GV (grande vitesse) à 3 essieux construits entre 1910 et 1926 pour le PLM soit 847 fourgons. Ce type de fourgon à 3 essieux destiné aux trains rapides et express du PLM possédait 2 compartiments douanables encadrant un espace central réservé par l'agent d'accompagnement. Il semble que ce fourgon soit le dernier véhicule existant sur les milliers construits à l'exception de celui de la cité du train.
