Historique :	Ces objets conservés dans les salles ouvertes au public de l'hôpital témoignent de l'ancienne maison de santé de Saint-Paul qui reste encore aujourd'hui un établissement psychiatrique. Saint-Paul de Mausole était un monastère franciscain recevant des personnes atteintes de démence. Confisqué à la Révolution, le lieu redevient un centre d'accueil pour malades mentaux dirigé par des médecins aidés des soeurs de Saint-Vincent de Paul. Vincent Van Gogh séjourna dans cet établissement de mai 1889 à mai 1890. Ces deux baignoires témoignent de la vogue des traitements d'hydrothérapie à la fin du 19e siècle.
