Description :	La couronne du Christ est en épines naturelles. Il manque le clou des pieds et le clou de la main droite (le restant est en bois). Sur la tête, il y a trace de quatre petits trous de clous qui fixaient une auréole en fer blanc.

Historique :	Cette croix processionnelle provient de la confrérie des Pénitents Blancs de Vitrolles, dissoute par extinction de ses membres au 19e siècle. Cette confrérie avait été reconstituée après la tourmente révolutionnaire en remplacement d'une plus ancienne. Les Fères Pénitents sont allés chercher cette croix à Aix et l'ont apportée sur leurs épaules par le chemin rural de Vitrolles à Aix qui, à l'époque, était le plus direct pour les piétons. Lors de la désaffectation de la chapelle de la confrérie et sa remise à la municipalité pour y abriter le corbillard nouvellement acquis, la croix a été portée à l'église.
