Précision_sur la representation :	La Vierge, le bras droit levé vers le ciel, tient sur le bras gauche l'Enfant Jésus, qui fait le geste de la bénédiction. Elle est debout, avec, à ses pieds, un monstre dompté, et, à sa droite, saint Jean-Baptiste enfant, nu, autour duquel s'enroule la queue du monstre. D'après Réau (Iconographie de l'art chrétien, t.II, vol.2, p.278), on pourrait voir un épisode de la fuite en Egypte, tracé d'après l'Evangile d'après Matthieu, qui raconte que l'Enfant Jésus aurait apprivoisé en cours de route divers fauves et des dragons. (Ce dragon semble revêtir la forme d'une tarasque).
