Description :	Les lentilles sont en verre. Sept d'entre elles sont serties dans des étuis en carton cousu avec les tailles des focales inscrites à l'encre.

Historique :	D'après les inscriptions portées sur les anneaux en carton et les registres d'observations astronomiques des pères minimes Feuillée et Sigalloux, ces lentilles proviennent de l'observatoire du couvent des minimes de la Plaine Saint-Michel à Marseille. Cet observatoire fut créé en 1714 et fonctionna jusqu'en 1735 environ. D'après la fiche de l'Inventaire général, une neuvième lentille aurait été retrouvée après la date d'inscription de ces lentilles.
