Historique :	Vers 1839. Commande religieuse se situant dans la première étape de construction de l'église. La toile date de 1839-1840 d'après les archives de la paroisse. Chaque tableau a été payé 1000F par souscription. Augustin Aubert (1781-1857), peintre de paysages et de portraits, directeur de l'école de dessin de Marseille et du musée, a formé toute une génération de peintres (Papety, Dassy, Monticelli...).
