Description :	Le cercle répétiteur permet de mesurer des angles en répétant plusieurs fois la même observation sur le cercle sans revenir au zéro. Le cercle est fixé sur un pied et comporte deux lunettes.

Historique :	Cet instrument est l'un des quatre fabriqués par Etienne Lenoir vers 1791-1792, d'après les projets de Charles Borda. Le but était de mesurer par triangulation l'arc du méridien terrestre entre Dunkerque et Barcelone, opération réalisée de 1792 à 1798 par les astronomes Jean-Baptiste Delambre et Pierre Méchain.
