Historique :	Cette chaire a été sculptée entre 1689 et 1691 par Albert Duparc (1661- 1721), sculpteur français originaire de Lorraine mais installé à Marseille, ayant beaucoup travaillé pour les Dominicains (Marseille et Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume) mais aussi à l'église des Grands Carmes de Marseille (Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel aujourd'hui).
